Nineteenth Meeting of the DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies

After 10 years of working together in the DANUBE FAB framework the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania have proven their ability to rapidly adapt, adjust, implement and apply new regulations while taking the necessary measures to have performant air navigation infrastructures and services in order to conduct safe air operations. On 9 December and 16 December 2022, the ANSP Board, respectively the Governing Council, held their nineteenth meetings, a week after the ANSP Board, thus ensuring the bridge between the relevant strategic and planning bodies of the FAB and the Governing Council.

Eighteenth Meeting of the DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies

Having regard to the requirements of the DANUBE Functional Airspace Block legal framework which foresee that the meetings of the governing bodies shall be organised twice a year, the ANSP Board and the Governing Council held their eighteenth reunions on 13 and 14 of April 2022, thus ensuring the bridge between the relevant strategic and planning bodies of the FAB and the Governing Council.

Seventeenth Meeting of the DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies

With a view to increasing the level of cooperation and coordination at FAB level and identifying new emerging solutions to overcome the economic and social damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to the aviation sector, DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies held their seventeenth meetings on 3rd and 4th of November via web conferences. The meetings were attended by representatives of the Ministries of Transport, Civil and Military Aviation Authorities, National Supervisory Authorities and ANSPs from Republic of Bulgaria and from Romania as well as from the the Republic of North Macedonia as DANUBE FAB Observer.

DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies held their sixteenth meetings on 27th and 28th of April via web conferences. The meetings were attended by representatives of the Ministries of Transport, Civil and Military Aviation Authorities, National Supervisory Authorities and ANSPs from Republic of Bulgaria and from Romania as well as from the DANUBE FAB Observers, European Commission and the Republic of North Macedonia.

Thirteenth Meeting of the DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies

On the 27th and 28th of May, the members of the DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies, respectively, the Governing Council, NSA Board and ANSP Board met in Bucharest for the thirteenth time since the DANUBE FAB establishment in 2012. The Governing Bodies discussed the progress of DANUBE FAB strategic planning and reporting, status of the FAB procurements, Inter-FAB coordination activities and the progress of the FAB High Priority projects, focusing on the immediate actions to be taken in order to ensure that DANUBE FAB can effectively deliver safe daily operations, improve capacity and contribute to the overall performance of the Network.

The DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies held their twelfth meetings on 23rd & 24th October 2018 in Bulgaria. The members of ANSP Board and of the Governing Council were informed and exchanged views on the progress of the DANUBE FAB high priority projects in the operational domain like SEE FRA and seasonal FRA implementation, the status of DANUBE FAB procurements, FAB enlargement etc.

Eleventh meetings of the DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies

The DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies held their eleventh meetings on 21st and 22nd of May 2018 in Bucharest, Romania. The parties discussed on the ATM/ANS service provision related strategic FAB prospects for the next 5 years’ planning cycle, the status of DANUBE FAB procurements, operational activities (e.g. SEEN FRA, seasonal FRA in the Bulgarian airspace, SEEN FRA extension to 24H, LoAs, etc), so as on future technical projects, such as the assessment of the use of space-based ADS-B capabilities in DANUBE FAB.

Tenth meetings of the DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies

The DANUBE FAB Governing Bodies held their tenth meetings on 31st October and 1st November 2017 in Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria. High level representatives of the Ministries of Transport, Civil and Military Aviation Authorities, National Supervisory Authorities and ANSPs from both countries met for two days to take stock of the latest intra/inter FAB developments, to provide information on the status of the current operations and to agree on the way forward and to prioritize the DANUBE FAB activities and projects.
